UBR #97 is what I need today. I had to put my 15yo Doxie buddy, Stumpy, to sleep today. He has been sick for a while and your comic made it easier to deal with the guilt. I know it was time, but you always think, well maybe one more day. I hope you know how many people you have helped with these words and drawings…..
Hi – This comic strip No.97 stopped me in my tracks. Lost my Husky (Kody) at Christmas & this just caught me off guard.
Would it be possible to buy a copy of this from you so I can frame it & hide it from myself until I can bring my self to read it again.
Please let me know how much it would cost to purchase this strip.
Many thanks – and thank you for creating this wonderful piece.
Hi Ian, I am at some point soon going to make an online store where prints of the comics will be available. People have asked a lot about that comic specifically, so I definitely want to do something so people can have it. I’m glad you liked the comic and thanks for reading.
After all this time I finally have an online store. The comic is available for purchase here: http://ubertool.storenvy.com/products/17861780-no-97-print
Hi There. On Tuesday we had to have our 11 year old Golden Retriever put down. It was time. She was old. But holy crap it hurts like a mother.
Someone had posted your dog drawing a while ago on some social media site somehwere and I had saved it because it was so… (loss for words here…) and I have to tell you that reading it now is giving me more comfort than you can possibly imagine.
Thank you so much. You have no idea.
Thanks for the comment Gina, I’m glad the comic was able to give you some comfort.
I discovered your website through the piece you wrote about the dog saying ” I wish I could talk”. That is the most poignant piece ever and so thought provoking. I still can’t read it without getting teary eyed.
Thanks for the good work!
Thanks for reading Steven, I’m glad you liked the piece.
well, your piece about putting your dog down has literally, healed my heart. i can’t thank you enough. it has really made a difference in my grieving and i appreciate you.
on another note, if you decide to start this as a business, and need quickbooks, please let me know. I’m an employee at intuit and we get screaming deals (like 80% off retail) for friends and family (i’m not trying to sell you anything, or gain anything, just an offer to you). You can google me to see i’m not a scheister. I have been at Intuit for 10 years.
Do you sell your stuff anywhere?
At the moment no, but I am planning on starting a store soon
#97 is a truly great piece. When you start a store, I’d love to know.
Hello Trapper, I finally have a store. #97 is available here: http://ubertool.storenvy.com/products/17861780-no-97-print
Hello Gaylen. I’ve finally opened a store. If you’re looking for #97 (the dog comic), it’s available here: http://ubertool.storenvy.com/products/17861780-no-97-print
I recently adopted a cat whose name was given an U-Bert. I know some German, so thought it might be Uerbert (or with an umlaut over the U). Is that your name? I’m trying to figure out why the previous owners (who dumped him, after having him totally declawed–front and back), why they gave him that name and if there is an English translation. Have not been able to identify through the Internet.
Ha ha, no my name isn’t Uerbert. I would suspect that U-Bert was a name that they made up that had some special meaning for them.
Hey I noticed the random button keeps redirecting to the hefner shitting his pants comic. sorry if you’ve gotten this a ton. great work by the way.
Thanks, yeah I’m having issues with that. It’s happening to some, not to others. Thanks for reading and the kind words!
